I have gone camera crazy!

Since we have bought our new camera, I take pictures of everything. It drives Andrew crazy, but atleast  I am using it. We haven't had much going on lately besides work and school. We went up to my family this weekend. It was the first time Andrew had been up since Christmas. We had a crazy fun-filled family weekend. When we do go up for a weekend, we try to plan as much as we can. We got a late a start on Friday, because Andrew had to work late. I was getting very anxious waiting on him to get home so we could leave. We finally made it to my parents late that night. Saturday was busy, but I wouldn't have rather done anything else. One of my childhood friends had a Superhero birthday party for her 3 year old boy. Her house had Spiderman, Superman, and Batman decorations everywhere. It was decorated so cute. Here are a few pic from the party.

Later on that night my whole family went to eat at Memphis BBQ. It was so good. When my whole family goes to eat, it can get very crazy and chaotic. This time was still crazy, but we all had the best time. I did get a little crazy with the camera though!

This is one of the bad things about leaving to go back to Jackson. Jake kept saying today,"My want to go to Jackson." Jamie sent me this picture as we were walking out the door. We might not have to be this far apart for too much longer, but that will be another post soon!

This week we celebrating Valentine's Day at school and we get to do fun activities all week! I love this holiday. I hope everyone has a great week and a great Valentine's!

Back to School, Bowl Game, and a Snow Day!

After a wonderful Christmas break, I started back to school and Andrew started his third clinical. (Only 1 more to go) yay! He will start his next and last clinical in March. The only bad thing about his last clinical is that he has to spend eight weeks in Memphis. Atleast my parents and his brother lives close, so he want have to be by himself. I will probably be spending lots of nights with Jacqueline, who lives in Brandon, because you know I don't like to stay by myself.

While things have been getting back to normal around here, with both of us being back on a schedule. We have had a fun, busy, cold, and rainy January. The first weekend in January we went to Birmingham to watch the Rebels play in the Compass Bowl. We had a wonderful time with great friends. Andrew's parents got the tickets for us, so we even got to spend some time with them while we were there. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Also, I got out of school this past Thursday for a snow day! This was the first time that Andrew and I had been together when it snowed. With both of us living in different towns before we got married, this was the first time we got to experience it together. The only bad part was Andrew had to work, so I spent my day cleaning and catching up on laundry. I enjoyed the day off, but hate that we will have to make it up in February! We are actually staying in Jackson for the weekend and I am excited about not having anything planned! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I know Riley enjoyed having someone home with him!

Happy New Year

Well I thought I would start the year off right by at least sticking to one of my goals for this year by blogging more.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve! We went to one of my childhood friend's home to celebrate with them. I have been so blessed to live so close to two of my best friends during our first year of marriage. It was very difficult moving 3 hours away from family, but it helps having these two so close by.

We had a great New Year's with lots of catching up with friends and laughing about old memories!

You may notice that my pictures have gotten a lot better. Well Andrew let me get me get a new camera as a late Christmas present. I was so excited and I have had so much fun playing around with it.

I wanted to start the year off right, so instead of just thinking of a couple of goals and then just forgetting about them, I thought I would write them down.

Goals for 2013:
*Find a church home
*Have a daily devotional with myself and a weekly devotional with Andrew
*Become a better blogger
*Stick to a budget

My bucket list for 2013:
(These are a few things that I want to accomplish during this year)
*Take a trip for our Anniversary
*Run a 5k
*Buy a house

Andrew sat down with me and wrote out his too, but he wouldn't let me put his on here. We had a a lot of fun doing this, or at least I did. I think it be a new tradition that we do every year!

We had so much fun and made so many new memories in 2012! I am excited to see what 2013 holds for us! Hope everyone has a great year!

A Very Married Christmas!

One of my main New Year resolutions is to be a better blogger. I think one thing that would make me better at this would be a new camera. I just realized that is what I need right after Christmas! Ha! There's always next year!

Well it is safe to say that we have had a wonderful first Christmas as a married couple! Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love all the lights, decorations, and Christmas music. Most of all everyone is in a wonderful mood! I love shopping and this was the first  year I got to do my own Christmas shopping for everyone. Normally, I just leave it up to my mom.

We started the month off by buying our first Christmas tree. We knew we would be out of town the whole Christmas holiday, so we just bought a little one for this year only! I did have the best time decorating with all my new ornaments that I have never used.
We really needed a tree topper!

One weekend that we stayed in Ridgeland, we went over to Jacqueline and Jim's house for dinner and a football game. Jacqueline and I, of course, stayed in the kitchen and caught up on different things going on, while the boys watched the game.

One weekend, we celebrated one of our friends engagement at their party in Grenada. We had a really good time seeing friends that we haven't seen in a while. I even got to see this sweet friend!

So happy I got to see Jordan!

Finally, when I got out of school on Thursday, we started packing for our week long stay in north Mississippi. I was so excited to spend all this time with family.

We had 5 rounds of Christmas fun that started on Sunday night at my parents. If I had a better camera, then I would maybe have taken more pictures. Here are some that I did have from the past 3 days.

I think Andrew enjoyed Jake and Hayes' present more than his!

Sweet Lucy had a wonderful Christmas!

I finally got to go with Jamie and the kids to see Santa! I have not missed out on that yearly trip to see Santa since Hayes was born and just because I live 3 hours away, this year was no different! Sweet Lucy was not happy to see Santa!
We have an amazing first Christmas together and we realized how blessed we really are!

We hope you all had a wonderful christmas and a happy New Year!

Birthdays and more!

October is a very busy month for us because both of our birthdays fall in this month! For anyone who knows me, knows that I don't really like to share my birthday and I also think that my birthday last for a month! Well, Andrew's falls exactly 2 weeks before mine. Since this year was our first birthdays together as a married couple,  I really wanted to make Andrew's birthday big deal!
This is the only picture I have from his birthday and his eyes are closed!  ha

Also, my mom and a few friends came down for a weekend visit the weekend after Andrew's birthday. I really enjoyed having them here and getting to play hostess. We ate out and shopped all weekend! It was a very successful weekend!

Other than Andrew and I, my mom and several of my friends have birthdays this month too. Several of my friends went to eat out for my birthday and Margaret Baker's birthday! We had a great time catching up! Jacqueline even brought Margaret and I some wonderful cupcakes!

A wonderful dinner with friends!

My wonderful cupcakes from Jac!

Finally, for the weekend of my birthday I wanted to go see my family. We had not seen them in three weeks, so I wanted to go see my niece and nephews! We had a great weekend full of family fun! On Saturday, I dropped Andrew off to hang out with his brother, and I got to have some quality time at the park with Jake and Lucy! I also got to go with Jamie to help her get some fall pictures made of the kids.

We had so much fun at the park!
Jake and Lucy having fun throwing wood chips at me!

This year at school my sweet students made my birthday very special! I had several students bring me gifts and baked goods! We even had cookie cake at snack time! When I came home from school, Andrew took me out to dinner! We also got our TV back on my birthday. Most of you know we have been without our new TV for 5 months! Over all it was a great birthday month!

Next weekend we will be going to my parents to celebrate the first birthday of this sweet girl! I can't wait to see them!

Can't believe Lucy will be ONE!

I really thought I was going to be good at this! I was wrong!

I said from the beginning that I was going to be a great blogger. I said I was going to keep up with every important event in our lives. Well.. I haven't written anything in a month. Andrew and I have had a crazy and busy last few months with weddings, parties, and starting school. My school started August 1st. I am at Flowood Elementary. I really have enjoyed it so far. I have 25 very active and cute first graders. It is always scary starting a new job in a new place, but my new co-wokers have made it a very easy transition. I can't wait to see what this new school year brings.

Since the beginning of August, we have spent very few weekends in Jackson. We have been very busy, but I have loved every minute of it. One of the very first weekends in August, Two of our very close friends got married. We felt so honored and were so excited to spend this special day with Jenny Claire and Justin! Jenny Claire was such a beautiful and fun bride! We had the best time all weekend and made so many memories with everyone! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

                                                                            The Dyre's

The next weekend Andrew had a few guys coming in for a wedding, so I took my chance and went to see my family. I always love going to see how much my nephews and niece have grown. Well this weekend was a big one for me because it had been 3 weeks since I had seen them. I know 3 weeks is not a long time to some of you, but if you know me,  it is! We had so much fun! My sister and I took all three of them to the Memphis Zoo.

Lucy's First trip to the zoo!
Hayes killed two doves. He was so proud.

With all of the traveling back and forth going up North, we stayed home this weekend. I was really looking forward to having nothing planned, but watching the Ole Miss game. I also got to have a lunch date with Jacqueline today. We have both been so busy that we haven't seen each other in a few weeks. That is very rare for us! It was nice to catch up with her! Hopefully September will be a little more calm and we can enjoy being in Jackson!
